WHAT IS SAEYLS ?

SMK (P) Sri Aman is proud to announce the fifth chapter to the previous years’ success, the Sri Aman Environmental Youth Leadership Summit (SAEYLS) 2016.

A sequel to the previous event of its kind organised by SMK (P) Sri Aman, the Sri Aman Environmental Youth Leadership Summit (SAEYLS) 2017 is organised in line with the school’s vision of becoming a world-class high performance school. This event would serve as a platform to spread environmental awareness and inculcate leadership skills amongst youths from around the globe.
Aptly themed “YOUTHS - The Roots of Change”, this event would be able to unearth, hone and develop the leadership skills and abilities of youths to enable them to lead the global community of tomorrow to be highly environmental-conscious as well as embrace environmental-friendly lifestyles. As leaders of tomorrow, youths can definitely bring about this significant change in the mindset of the global community, and ultimately, improve the quality of life for all of God’s creations.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN ?

THE SUMMIT LOGO
A lot of thought and effort has been put in designing the Sri Aman Environmental Youth Leadership Summit's (SAEYLS) Logo. It has a deep and meaningful meaning behind its design as stated below, in line with the theme of the summit, "YOUTH - The Roots of Change".
The globe represents our vision to make a remarkable difference in this world through the act of reaching out to people from all across the globe. Our effort is hoped to aspire the young minds from all over the world to catalyze the change that we aim to inspire from this summit. This summit hopefully will be able to spark universal understanding of the absolute urgency for everyone to synergize towards a greener future.
The colour green is used for the globe as it is the generally understood colour that represents the nature. It is to remind everyone the main agenda that we want to achieve from this summit; a greener future.
Water is undoubtedly an important element of the nature. Water is the basis of all civilisation that started in this world. And thus, it is understood that water represents fresh hopes and new beginnings. We have faith that our effort will spark a new light which will illuminate the seemingly dark future of mother nature. We chose water droplets to represent this analogy.
The different colours used in the water droplets indicate the cultural diversity that will be present at this summit as it will be held on an international level. Hence, it will involve different people from different backgrounds. Hopefully, through the assembly of various minds in this summit, we can attain more knowledge and ideas to carry out environmental initiatives that are able to benefit mother nature in a long run.
